 I stroll in the royal gardens of Versailles: magnificent, tree-lined walks, marble footings, stairs, marble ponds, marble flower pots and marble statues from pagan mythology.

         It is peaceful, tranquil, quiet, profound and undisturbed. I walk,
seemingly in a dream, in dreams of green and blue... It is only the singing
of birds which reminds me of reality, or it is only the singing of birds which
is real, alive, living, which makes me feel that I am not in a dream but in
the real, tangible world. The royal gardens of Versailles... Lyric gardens
with lyric beauty, lyric inspiration.

         The birds are singing, shrieking, whistling, trilling, humming, complaining, murmuring...
