In dedication to 100th anniversary of Armenian genocide with the lecture on the subject “The Armenian diaspora of Italy” presented Azniv Aslikyan. She shared some important facts with the auditorium. They spoke about social, economic, cultural and religious problems of Armenian community of Italy. The lecture passed in a very interactive atmosphere with interesting debates, questions and exchange of ideas.

An important event took place in the museum on 15 of June. One of the famous Armenian painters Rafayel Atoyan came to Armenia from Fresno and brought with him a canvas “Abu Lala Mahari” which he decided to give to the museum of Av. Isahakyan. The presentation took place in very friendly atmosphere where were present the grandson of Avetik Isahakyan, painters, writers.

In dedication to the Internationlal Children’s day the museum organized event and exhibition to congratulate the children. During the celebration an exhibition opened on the themes of the Isahakyan’s fairy tales “The most Useful thing” and “Close to Sun”.

Museum Night 2013 and International museums day

International museum day and the European night of museums took place in Armenia and in the House Museum of Av. Isahakyan particulary on 18 of May 2013. Almost all museums in Armenia joined the international cultural activity. From 18:00 till midnight museums were opened to the public and presented various events and programs. The House Museum of Av. Isahakyan organized exhibition of portraits, music of Komitas and Chinese tea ceremony accompanied with poetry readings.

Temporary exhibition

“Av. Isahakyan and Armenain question”

   Temporary exhibition “A. Isahakyan and The Armenian question” organized in the museum of the poet in dedication to the 100th anniversary of the first Genocide in the world.
The poet expressed his thoughts and feelings in everyday letters, memoirs and diaries.
The virtual tour of the same exhibition will be available on the website soon.

With a lecture on an interesting theme about the poetry of Hamo Sahyan “Preliminary and eternal ”came out in the museum of Av. Isahakyan senior researcher of the institute of literature of the NAS after M. Abeghyan, candidate of philological sciences Lilit Seyranyan. The presents listened with the whole of attention her thorough, profound and meaningful lecture, during of which the author talked about the deep and gentle poetry of Hamo Sahyan. A little concert took place after the lecture where played the songs (lyrics Hamo Sahyan).

In the framework of educational programs the Memorial Museum of Av. Isahakyan organized special program for 5th and 6th classes of the school after Kh. Abovyan. The theme was the fables of Isahakyan.

The next meeting which was dedicated to 100th anniversary of Armenian genocide took place in the Memorial Museum of Av. Isahakyan on 6 of April. Zarine Papikyan presented the theme “Armenian community of Switzerland”. She shared important information about the social, economic, cultural situation in the country and about the first Armenians in Switzerland.

The lecture passed in a very interactive atmosphere with interesting debates, questions and exchange of ideas.

In dedication to 100th anniversary of Armenian genocide we have planned a few lectures on the theme “Armenian diaspora”. With the lecture on the subject “The Armenian diaspora of Istanbul” presented Lusine Toroyan. Some important facts shared with the auditorium Tiran Lockmagyozyan who was born and lived in Istanbul until 1990th. They spoke about social, economic, cultural and religious problems of Armenian community of Istanbul. The lecture passed in a very interactive atmosphere with interesting debates, questions and exchange of ideas.

The first solo concert of young singers Irina Gulumyan and Andreas Badalyan took place in the Memorial Museum of Av. Isahakyan (under the guidance of R. Hakobyants). Тhe jewels of Armenian and world classic music were played during the concert which accompanied by Tigran Buniatyan and Gohar Muradyan

The presentation of the book “Avetik Isahakyan: Scientific readings 2011” took place in the Memorial Museum of Avetik Isahakyan. The presentation was attended by the President of Writer’s Union of Armenia, the director of the Institute of Literature of NAS of Armenia after Manuk Abeghyan, Head of the Chair of Armenian Literature of YSU Samvel Muradyan, famous scientists, directors of museums etc.
The director of the museum Hasmik Melkonyan made an opening speech. She expressed hope that on the occasion of Isahakyan’s 140th anniversary will be organized another scientific session and it will become a tradition in this museum.
L. Ananyan, Samvel Muradyan, Avik Isahakyan, V. Devrikyan also presented themselves with a speech.
The presentation was accompanied with a classical music concert.
