Events - 2015

The museum held a happy New Year event. This time, the Museum hosted the "Orran" NGO Art club pupils having participated to the educational programs. As an enclosure of the educational programs there had been organized an exhibition of paintings "Av. Isahakian’s tales and fables", which will remain in the museum for a month. It was nice that the pupils were able to interestingly interpret and present their works in addition to paint in a beautiful and colorful manner. In the end, a surprise was previewed for the presents with congratulations, good wishes and gifts from Santa Claus and Snow Maiden.

The Museum hosted the 11th grade pupils, teachers and parents of the school No. 2 of Gavar’s Karmir Village. On the occasion of 140th anniversary of the famous writer Av. Isahakian the pupils had prepared a beautiful literary-musical composition. After the event at their school, they decided to visit the house-museum of the poet and perform it at his home. The Museum has gladly accepted and heard them.

Isahakyan’’.

A meeting has been managed with the poet, prose writer Liparit Sargsyan in the museum. Hovhannes Ayvazyan, Garnik Shakhkyan and others had a speech. The presents expressed warm words of appreciation about the writer’s life and his passed path by uttering his poems.  

The leading researcher of the Institute of Literature named after M, Abeghyan of the NAS, Anahit Vardanyan participated in the serial lecture dedicated to the great master Avetik Isahakyan’s 140th anniversary which took place in the museum. The theme was very interesting: “ Avetik Isahakyan and the Persian medieval literature”. Few of the presents knew that master had made translations from the original text of Hafiz, taking lessons from their neighbor Persian bay. During the lecture Mrs. Vardanyan gave a lot of remarkable details from the great author’s life, which again confirmed Isahakyan’s preferences about the eastern culture and philosophy.  

This year on the occasion of 140th anniversary of the great Armenian writer Avetik Isahakyan the Museum worked with the slogan "Av. Isahakian's lessons of patriotism" by organizing numerous events, lectures and educational programs, which were also focused to the commemoration and remembrance of the Armenian Genocide.
The event dedicated to the Varpet’s birthday was attended by many admirers, relatives and friends of the immortal heritage of the writer. The event was opened by the greeting speech of the museum director Hasmik Melkonyan. Then the grandson of the writer Avik Isahakyan, Head of the Department of Armenian Literature of YSU, Dr. of sciences, Professor Samvel Muradyan, director of the Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences, Dr. Vardan Devrikyan writers Ruzan Asatryan, Levon Blbulyan and others delivered speeches. In their speech, everyone said that the life and work of the great writer, his profound and wise thoughts are still shining examples of patriotism and lessons of life for our people to this day.
At the end, songs have sounded both on Isahakyan's verses and other works by the performance of young and talented singers: Irina Gulambaryan, Hovhannes Grigoryan, Alexander Zhuykov, Nune Grigoryan. Accompanied Gohar Muradyan.  

Father Miakayel Gevorgyan, the religious leader of the Monastery Complex of Tatev and the monastic Choir of Tatev, headed by Lusine Sargsyan, were hosted at the museum. Were performed hymns (sharakans) from Sacred liturgy, as well as works by Komitas, some of which were accompanied by bells.
The participants were delighted by the beautiful and unique performances of children.  

The educational program “The fairy tales and proverbs of Isahakian” being organized and coordinated by the senior researcher Armineh Avetissyan in the pottery groop of “Orran” NGO.  

The house-museum of Av. Isahakyan in Gyumri organized an event dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the writer which was also attended by the House Museum of Yerevan with temporary exhibition. The exhibition included personal belongings and clothing of Isahakian.  

Within the framework of educational programs the lectures held in different regions dedicated to the centenary of Armenian Genocide and 140th anniversary of Avetik Isahakian this time took place in the City of Sisian of Syunik region. The speakers were the Chief curator of the museum Anjela Khorenyan (PHD) and head of the department of communication and organizing expositions of the museum Ruzanna Mesropyan.  

 

The students of the YSU military-patriotic club “Vardanank” (headed by Satenik Abrahamyan), organized the meeting in the Memorial-Museum of Avetik Isahakian with the Hero of Artsakh, Major-General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan. The museum was crowded. Both students and the adults were attended and directed their questions to the Hero, who gave exhaustive answers.
The meeting was in warm and patriotic atmosphere.  

Komitas Park Pantheon was again crowded this day. On the occasion of the poet’s death 58-th anniversary, the workers of the Memorial- Museum of Avetik Isahakian, the pupils and teachers of the school after Avetik Isahakian, had visited to the tomb of the Master. After that the participants visited the Museum, where the pupils presented a very nice and exciting measure.
The participants left the museum filled with the spirit of Isahakian and in a good mood.  

A lecture titled “The history of Armenian tale writing and fairytales of Avetiq Isahakian” was held in the museum, dedicated to 140th birthday anniversary of Isahakyan. The speaker was Lusine Hayriyan (PHD). She did an interesting analysis of the history of fairytales from ancient times until Av. Isahakian.
The audience listened and discussed it with great interest.  

 

Within the framework of educational programs the lectures held in different regions dedicated to the centenary of Armenian Genocide and 140th anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan, the next lectures took place in the secondary school of the village Arevadasht of Armavir region. The speakers were the senior researcher of the museum Armineh Avetissyan with the theme “The national liberation struggle and “Hayduk’s songs” by Avetik Isahakyan” and the chief of the PR department Ruzanna Mesropyan with the theme ''Avetik Isahakyan and Armenian Genocide''.  

 

The European Heritage Days in Memorial-Museum of Avetik Isahakian  

 

In the museum was held a meeting with the literary critic, journalist Gayane Atanesyan dedicated to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide. The author presented her book titled “Living is wining”, which was about the heroic martyrdom story of one of Western Armenian famous poets Ruben Sevak, as well as the analyzes of several meetings of the speaker with Turkish armenologists.  

Was held the "World from Isahakian’s window" summer school educational program. 10 students from "Orran" NGO passed five unforgettable days in the great poet's house-museum. The program was attended by museum staff, as well as invited independent experts. The children worked with Angela Khorenyan, naturalist-agronomist Hovsep Hovsepyan, museum researchers Tsoghik Nazaryan, Armine Avetisyan, Mariam Sokhakyan, Jemma Melkonyan, and social educator Lilit Matinyan. The classes were held every day for 3 hours. Children were introduced to the museum, the Museum rules of conduct, and organized thematic classes concerning the writer's life and work, nature, music and communications, as well as the visit of Aram Khachaturian House Museum allowed the children to spend a short period of time of their summer holidays more efficiently, to gain bring important experience and knowledge, which was the goal of the program. At the end of the program, the children received gifts from the Museum.  

Within the framework of teaching practices, the second course students of the Faculty of Geography and Geology, "Service" specialization, visited the museum, leading by T. Sargsyan (PHD), H. Sayadyan (assistant), I. Sahakyan (lecturer), V. Andreasyan (lecturer), J. Mnacakanyan (lecturer) and M. Gevorgyan (lecturer). 

The unforgettable day for the graduates, teachers and parents of the school named after Avetik Isahakyan . The director of the museum Hasmik Melkonyan and the assistant of the school Goar Galstyan are awarding certificates to the pupils of the school.  

 Another lecture was dedicated to the Armenian poet Paruyr Sevak. The speaker was Anahit Vardanyan (PHD, lead researcher of M. Abeghyan Literature Institute of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia). She told very interesting details about the writer's life and work and answered the audience' questions. The participants listened and discussed the topic with great interest. 

An event dedicated to the International Children's Day was organized. The participants were the pupils of the Theatre of Marionettes named "Vaspurik" headed by Anna Sargsyan. Within the framework of educational programs titled“The fables and fairy tales of Isahakyan“ was also organized the Temporary exhibition of paintings by the children from the school after Nairi Zaryan, as well as those of the pupils from “Ghoghanj” NGO which they had done during another event dedicated to the International Day for the Preservation of Monuments near the statue of A. Isahakyan.

The event was held in a very warm and joyful atmosphere, which was a real celebration for children and their parents. In the end, the museum's director Hasmik Melkonyan presented certificates of participation to the participating organizations.

 

The memorial museum of A. Isahakyan was crowded again. An event titled “We scabbarded our sword” dedicated to the 23th anniversary of the liberation of Shushi and to the 20th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War took place. The participants were the students of the YSU military-patriotic club “Vardanank” headed by Satenik Abrahamyan. Relatives of the Artsakh heroic war heroes were present at the event: Ruzan Krpeyan, sister of Tatul Krpeyan, Karine Avanisyan, mother of Zakar Avanisyan and Anna Bakhshyan, sister of Vardan Bakhshyan.

In the Museum was organized an open-lesson titled ''Lessons of patriotism. Defensive fights of the 1915''. The participants were the children of the high school after A. Isahakyan. The aim of the event was to present not only tragic but heroic pages of our history. It was obvious that the children treated the idea of the event with great responsibility. It was exciting especially the end by the pledge "I remember and demand”.

The traditional International action "European Night of Museums" 2015 started On May 16. The House- Museum of Avetiq Isahakyan participated in with this program.

During the day the museum had many visitors from both the whole Armenia and abroad, such as Brazil, Syria, Germany, Russia, Georgia, India and others.

A lecture titled “The Great patriotic war in Armenian literature” was held in the museum. The speaker was Margarita Khachatryan (PhD). Ms. Khachatryan mentioned that the Great patriotic war had impact on both, the history of Armenian people and Armenian literature. During the war the Armenian people gave brave sons, whose military feats were lessons of patriotism for our nowdays' heroes.
At the end of lecture, the reciter Gayane Samvelyan read patriotic works of our famous writers Av. Isahakyan, H. Shiraz, G. Saryan, H. Grigoryan dedicated to the Great world war.

Within the framework of educational programs the lectures held in different regions dedicated to 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide and 140th anniversary of Isahakyan took place at N:8 high school in Alaverdi city of Lori Region and at N:4 secondary school of the village Sanahin. With the lecture titled "Patriotic Classes" "Songs of Hayduk" of Av. Isahakyan and Fedayi movement" came out senior researcher of the museum Sona Khechikyan.

The museum hosted a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide. Participants were the students of the vocal department of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, headed by Alina Pahlevanyan. Irina Gulanbalyan, Andreas Badalyan, Izabella Manusajevyan and Nune Grigoryan sang during the concert. Musical accompaniment by Diana Khachatryan.

Within the framework of two months of the Francophonie, In the museum was held French-Armenian Readings from the book named ''My father'' of the author Vigen Isahakyan. The event was attended by students of the Faculty of Romano-Germanic. The translations did Ani Abrahamyan, who is in the first year student of the faculty . The event was held in the beautiful garden of the Museum, which more inspired the participants.

   

Near the statue of Av. Isahakyan was held an event dedicated to the International Day for the Preservation of Monuments. The event was started a few days ago by the children from “Ghoghanj’’ NGO who visited to the museum . Children were introduced to the Master’s Museum. They were informed that the museum building is included in the state list of the city's historic and cultural monuments. The event continued near the statue of Av. Isahakyan, where children painted their impressions of the museum. The event attracted the attention of the passers-by. Many of them watched the pictures with great interest, listened soul-stirring songs based on poems written by Isahakyan. The staff of the Museum distributed sheets to the passers-by where was written Master’s sayings about Armenian monuments. Around the statue was organized an art exhibition dedicated to the Armenian historical monuments.

   

The Museum continues to organize events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The next meeting began by the performance of Ruzanna Abrahamyan who is professor and cellist of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatoire. The program consisted of the works by Komitas and Aram Khachaturyan and of parts of the Liturgy. The event was attended by the students of the YSU Military-patriotic Club “Vardanank”. They presented excerpts from the book “Isahakyan and the Armenian Question” dedicated to the Armenian Question and the Armenian Genocide. There was also read the patriotic letter written from the Armenian army of the author Artavazd Boyajyan who is the son of the fighter Davit Boyajyan.
At the end of the event was planned the opening of the temporary exhibition titled ''Isahakyan and the Armenian tragedy''.

In the museum was held the presentation of the book dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, named “The Armenian Genocide: The memories of the eye-witness survivors” of the author Verjine Svazlyan, folklorist, Dr.Sc., Professor, who is the Lead Researcher at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography at the Academy of Sciences of Armenia. Ruzanna Mesropyan, the head of the exhibitions and public department, spoke about the Proarmenian activities of the Svazlyan family. She also mentioned that every member of this family had a credo: “Patriotism is a matter of honor for me”, which keeps with great responsibility Verjine Svazlyan too. Then she introduced the story of creation of the book. Ms. Svazlyan surprised everyone carrying his father's Garnik Svazlyan's dream, she presented to the museum the ivory paper cutter with the head of Nefertiti and the small statuette, that her father had brought from Egypt and had wished to present to the Master. Moreover, the museum exhibited the book intitled "Immigration" of the author Garnik Svazlyan with the letter addressed to Avetik Isahakyan, which was preserved in the personal library of Isahakian.
The meeting passed in a very warm and exciting atmosphere. The participants had the opportunity to listen touching stories of the eye-witness survivors from Ms. Svazlyan.

In the museum was held on the final round of the quiz game “A. Isahakyan-140. Let’s recognize our writers”. The participant teams were six from different educational institutions. The winner was the team named “Krunk” from the branch of the library N: 29.

Within the framework of literary, cultural and educational programs, a lecture about “New words created by Gregory of Narek, in his Gandzs and Taghs” was held in the museum. The reporter was the senior researcher of the Museum Armineh Avetissyan. The participants listened and discussed the topic with great interest.

In the museum was held the presentation of the book named “My silence is snapped” of the author Valya Margaryan, who is the beneficiary of the “Mission Armenia” NGO. Guests greeted the author wishing him creative success in the future.

The museum hosted a concert dedicated to the renowned pedagogue, professor Rafael Hakobyan’s memory. Participants were the students of the vocal department of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, headed by Alina Pahlevanyan. Remarkable and exciting was that the concert dedicated to the memory of the famous professor was organized and led by a former student of him Alina Pahlevanyan.

In the museum was held an event dedicated to the day of native language, which was attended by YSU Military- patriotic Club “Vardanank”. During the event were sounded national songs and works dedicated to native language. At the end of the event “Vardanank” Club Chairman Satenik Abrahamyan came out with a touching speech.

Within the frames of the "Isahakian’s tales" educational program on February 15 the museum visitors were the 5th graders of the school after Nairi Zaryan. After a cognitive guided-tour the children got acquainted with Isahakyan's tales that the museum’s employee read, then they analyzed and performed with great excitement "The Most Useful thing" fairy tale.

 

Within the frames of the literary and cultural program the first meeting was held in the museum’s exposition hall  with the writer, translator Grigor Djanikyan. The writer talked about the creative history of his latest book "The posthumous Calvary of Komitas".
Those present listened with great excitement some interesting details of the immortal life of Komitas. Grigor Djanikyan's book is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Genocide.
